Tai's first day of Pre-School

Tai was so excited for her first day of school. At first she told me that she wanted me to stay the whole time with her, but when we got there and she saw all her friends, she said, "Bye mom!"

Teya 18 month Pictures

The WF'ers have been moving things around in one of the corrals and I saw this huge tire and knew I wanted Teya to have pictures on it! I was so disappointed when we got out there and she cried and wouldn't look at me, but when I got home and started to play with the pictures, I think they turned out really cute!

Dork on the Dive

Jake is such a funny guy! We went swimming last night and Jake was transformed into a little boy again! I think we broke every rule that there was at the pool! But I guess that is the perks of your mom managing the pool! Paula kept saying that Jake used to act the same way when he was little, and not to let him tell me any different. He loved the pool as a little boy, and as you can tell, he still loves it! We took turns wearing the goggles and watching eachother dive into the pool! Then he had this bright idea of hanging upside down on the diving board and putting his head where he could see half in the water and half out! I had to get a picture- cause like I said, Jake is such a goof! But boy does he make us all laugh!
Jake and Tanner even raced 3 times. Jake was so funny when we got home and sat down to relax, he said, " I am so excited, I won two gold metals today!" Meaning he beat Tanner 2 of the 3 races, and since it is the Bejing Olympics right now, he had to throw in that he won GOLD!

Loosing our beans

I saw on my sister Lacey's blog that she bought her little girl beans to play with, so we decided to try it. The girls had fun scooping them up with spoons and putting them into different cups and bowls. I thought it was a great idea until Teya started getting handfuls and dumping them onto the carpet. One good thing about it is, the beans are easy to clean up!

Always good for a hug

It is so cute when the girls just stop whatever they are doing to give each other a hug! It usually start with Teya going over to Tai. But whoever initiates it-it is so cute and just makes me smile!

Playing at the pool

Daniel brought his boys over to swim with us this weekend. The kids had so much fun playing together and having lunch.

Teya (18 months), Tai (3 3/4 years), Ramzy (2 1/2) and Kempton (almost 4)

Kempton & Ramzy

Thought I would put a picture of each of the boys! They are so flippin' cute! We don't get to see them very often!!! We love you Kempton & Ramzy!

Girls will be girls...

Tai had some friends over the other day and they wanted to paint their fingernails. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when they said that they could do it themselves. They actually did pretty good for 3 year olds. They had it all over their fingers and toes, but other than that we didn't have it anywhere worth being upset over. I had to take a picture though of Tai's fingers. She was so proud of herself and couldn't wait to show them everyone!

Tai with Dallee Albrecht and Katie Johnson

What's different?

The other day I looked at Tai and could not figure out what looked different about her. It actually took me a week or so to finally realize that she now has freckles! It was the wierdest thing-I just looked at her and she looked so different, grown up somehow, and I just couldn't put my finger on why she looked that way-until I saw those cute little "angel kisses"!!!

Teya's shots

I took Teya into the Dr. to get her shots and to have her iron levels checked. So she is now caught up and ready to go until Kindergarten. She was a brave little girl and only cried for a little minute. I always feel so bad! They also had to poke her heel to get some blood to test her iron. Her iron level went down again. For anyone who is medically smart her level at 12 months was 45.9 and now at 18 months it is 45.7, so it went down a little bit. So I am going to have to work really hard to remember to give her the iron vitamins we have. And if you have ever tasted those- PUKE!!!!! It is the grossest thing ever. I feelt like it is child abuse to give her those. It takes just like you are drinking a gulp of metal. (it tastes like that smell on your hands when you have been touching metal). I think I will work really hard on that for a month or more and then take her up to a Pediatrician. Any ideas?
Here are my girls at the Dr. office. In my opinion, they need things in those offices to entertain kids while you wait. I think that they set a rule that people with children are made to be in the office for a minimum of 1 hour, just to see if the parents will crack. :) Those rooms are to small to keep kids waiting with nothing to do. So I had to make our own balloons with rubber gloves. That helped for a minute.

Tai's Hair Salon

Tai has been into combing peoples hair lately. Grandpa and Uncle Tanner are some of her clients. It isn't enough for her to just comb, she has to have the squirt bottle and spray enough water to water your garden in one hairdo! It is so funny to watch her face as she concentrates so hard! Watch out, you might be next!

Pool to ourselves

Grandma Paula asked the girls if they would like to go swimming on Saturday for a while in the morning before the pool opened! You don't have to ask my girls twice. It was fun. Tanner came and joined us and we played with dive sticks, swam for as far as we could without breathing and just soaked up the sun. Uncle Tanner is so good to play with my girls!

My sad little girl!

My little Janie has been so sad since Tuesday afternoon. I think that she is getting teeth because she keeps putting her hand in her mouth and also rubbing her tongue on her gums! She will be fine one minute and then crying for hours then next. She will just roll around on the ground and cry, then want me to hold her, then want back down, then in my arms, then laying down, all within about 30 seconds- so she is just miserably in pain! It is so sad (and a bit frustrating)! The only thing that will get her to stop crying is going for a ride on the Rhino! So we have been burning up the gas on that thing! Why does it have to be so hard to be a kid? But man we love her and hope she feels better very soon!

Jake- the swimmer/diver

We went to a ward swim party the other night- Jake's first swim trip of the year! Tai was so excited to get to swim with her daddy! They were all over the pool! Jake is also one of the most daring divers I have ever witnessed! He does some pretty crazy stuff! This is his famous twist dive! I can't even explain, you just have to see it!

taking pictures

I have been trying to learn more about photography, so we went out for a photo shoot while Teya napped. I think that I got some really cute ones of the girls! Here are just a couple of the really cute ones! I just need to decide if I can afford to get Photo Shop. i know that i would use it a ton- but it is just forking out the money for it! Let me know what you think or if you have heard anything about Photo Shop or Photo Shop Elements!

Aunt Cee-Cee and Maili come to visit

My sister Lacey (Aunt Cee-Cee) and her little girl Maili came to stay for a couple of days! We went swimming twice, ate a million popcycles, fed the horses, and just had fun!!! It got a little crazy with 3 girls trying to share, but they did really good. The only really hot item that everyone wanted at the same time was the high chair. All three girls wanted to sit in the one that hooks onto the counter. So they all had to wait their turn! It was fun and we miss them already!

A trip the pool isn't complete without a baby cone from the Hot Spot Drive-In! I kind of turn my head the other way when it comes to the mess that it makes, but they are only kids once. Everyone keeps telling me to just love them so much and remember these times because they grow up so fast, and I know! I have to keep telling myself that somedays though!!!! But thanks for the advice! I will definitely miss these days when they are long gone!

Our Garden

We love to plant and harvest our garden-it's the stuff in the middle of that that sucks! Watering to keep it all alive and weeding! Let's just say that watering gets done when they look like they are about to die, and the weeding, well, never happens! So this year we tried something new- the black tarp! It works wonders! The corn on the outside of the picture is so weed infested that it is rediculous! But we'll get it done sometime, cause we have to have corn!!!!
Here are the girls after we picked some cucumbers and zuccini! They love to help!

Taking the girls camping

This weekend we decided to take the girls up to Daniels camping. We bought Grandma Pulham's camper and it has been up there for a couple weeks. It was so much fun. It was the girls' first time camping with a campfire to roast marshmellows. The girls went to bed really good, but 5:45 am came way to early when Teya decided to get up. And since the camper isn't very big, everyone was woke up! Tai and Teya wanted to get in and out, in and out, in and out, then up and down, up and down, up and down in the camper! So Yes, we had a blast and we will be going again very soon!

The Campers' Summer Home

This is for Grandma Pulham so she can see that we are taking good care of the camper! It has a nice new summer home in a gorgeous location up on Daniels! We had so much fun and it brought back memories from my childhood!

For all those elk hunters out there....

On the way up camping Jake looked over on the side hill and this is what we saw. You will probably have to make the picture bigger to see closer, but WOW!!!! It took me three frames to get the whole picture of them all.

Christmas in July

Today we were bored and it was super hot outside so I looked in the girls' closet and saw a Christmas present to Teya from 2007 that had never been opened. So we busted open the TaDoodles, rolled out some paper and the girls went to town! it was a lot of fun. The Tadoodles are so cool, they are crayola markers for 18 month olds (or 3 1/2 year olds). You just tip them upside down and then you can write or color. If you don't have any, I suggest them. It is just different from the regular old coloring book and my girls had so much fun pushing around the little car that the Tadoodles ride in. (No caps to put back on, just a fun car to ride in).
