SUPRISE!!!

For Jake's 30th birthday, I threw him a birthday party at the park. We had some of our closest friends over to BBQ and just have fun! I did it!!! It was a suprise, he didn't know a thing about it! The guys warming up the BBQ's!

This is my official day out of the 20's. I think I look the same. I got my hair done the other day, so that may look different, but as far as I can tell, nothing has changed.

Happy Mother's Day

I got the cutest gift for Mother's Day from Tai. She made it at school: It was a card. The flower is her handprint.

This was on the inside. Miss Melissa wrote what Tai told her about me. I laughed pretty hard at some of the answers: I don't want my little girl to grow up!

Fun Outside

Along with warm weather comes another one of our favorite things to do. I send the girls out to collect rocks and sticks while I go inside to retrieve the water colors. The girls love, did I mention LOVE to paint the rocks and sticks. It is one of the cheapest things that entertain my girls. You can find the watercolors at Walmart of 96 cents. They each get their own and they have so much fun. The will do it for hours. The best part is they get to collect the "Prettiest" rocks that they can find and decorate it themselves, all while sitting outside on the front porch!

Miss & Missy Attitude

As a parent, you just "KNOW" that you never acted like that when you were a kid. But in all honesty, I think Jake and I both had attitude! So sorry to our parents for that- but I think we knew it was coming (especially with two girls). Which makes me just a little scared for the teenage years.

Here is Miss Attitude herself: I have heard it all now!!! I was helping Tai pick out her clothes one day and I randomly grabbed some levi's for her to wear. I handed them to her and she started to freak out. I said, "what is the matter, put your clothes on." She said, "I don't like those, they have ABC's on them." I was like "WHAT?!!??!!" So she pointed it out where the ABC's were, and said that she wanted to wear her heart ones. Holy crap! She is only 4 years old. Are they allowed to do that already? It makes me VERY VERY scared for the teenage years! Sorry again to my mom! :)

Another fabulous trip up to change the water. Jake done and left us to hang out by the truck cause Teya fell asleep (as she always does) 5 minutes before we reached our destination. So Tai and I played in the water and Tai took some fabulous pictures. Sorry Teya missed out on most of the running water, but she did wake up and we let her play for a while.

My girl

I love it when my girls give me a hug for no reason at all! I had let Tai get out of her car seat as we were about home and she came up to me and gave me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek! I told her to hold that thought and I snapped a picture! What a good girl! (P.S. the car was stopped)

My Own little Dynamite Cheerleader

A couple weeks ago Tai got to come try out to be on the Dynamite Firecracker's Cheer Squad. All the girls tryed out in groups of three. Here she is about to do her cartwheel:

This was the sign that we posted on the door, there were 4 different squads, but here is Tai's name & her teammates:After they got done trying out, Kellie's husband Brock got a flatbed trailer and some bales of straw for the girls to sit on and drove them around town. They cheered, stopped at Walmart and danced,and finally they arrived at the bowling alley, where we bowled and ate pizza.

Easter Egg Hunt

This year, Grandpa & Grandma Quarnberg hosted an easter egg hunt. The kids had so much fun running around their HUGE yard collecting eggs. Teya, Tai, Kempton, & Ramzy-hopefully next year Karter can be there to complete the Quarnberg Grandkid clan:

Tai's Last Soccer Game

Tai had her last soccer game this week. It is kind of sad, the kids were just getting to where they knew what they were supposed to do. Tai has been pretty funny about it. She would go out and play for a while and then come over for a waterbreak/timeout or to say that "my legs are really tired!" But she was a good soccer player, she was always chasing the ball and right in the middle of things. She usually ended up on the ground, and even got kicked in the head/neck a couple times, but she stuck with it and had a really good year. She can kick the ball and chase after it- that is pretty big! :)

During our last game, Tai wanted to try being goalie. Karter's Kritters

It is sort of official that we got my sister-in-law's blog going for her new business!!! These little animals are so flippin' cute and the kids all love them. They are filled with rice so that they can be microwaved or placed in a freezer. The purpose of them are so that children can have their own comforting hot pad or cool pack, (kids never let you put a cool rag on them when they fever) for reasons of just because or because they are sick and need it! So if you are looking for an original gift for someone's birthday, new birth, or just because you love someone, here you go! It is going to support an amazing family who has been through SO MUCH to keep their own little boy alive and on the right track to good health (a very long time coming). Our Summer Begins:

One of our very most favorite things to do is go to Grass Valley with Jake. We have been doing this for years. We go up there to irrigate and get the grass ready for the cows to come. Yesterday officially started off our summer with our first trip up there. Ok, I know that it doesn't really look like summer up there, and yes, we got a little bit of snow on us, but we couldn't just stay in the truck the whole time. So I bundled the girls up, and we got out to help Jake and to play. I know I look absolutely fabulous, but I was freezing and I failed to bring adequate attire, I found this in the back of Jake's truck. Not to glamorous, but it kept my head and ears warm. Ok, laugh out loud, it looks ridiculous!!!

I officially decided yesterday that this is where I want to spend all my spare time this summer. It is one of my favorite places on earth. One: because it is so dang pretty there, two: I get to spend uninterupted time with my three favorite people on this earth, three: it makes me happy, and four: you get to hear water running and throw stuff in it.

Poor Jake always working when we go there! Oh, who am I kidding- HE LOVES TO CHANGE WATER IN GRASS VALLEY!!!! It is one of his favorite things to do. A couple years ago he constructed a bunch of diversions and now knows these fields like the back of his hand. He knows just where the water is coming and going from, and how to get it where he needs it!

Finger Paints

We are always looking for something new to do, so when I came across finger paints at Walmart, I knew the girls would love it!

My Interview with Tai (4 1/2 years old)

I have seen this on a couple people's blogs, so I decided to ask Tai some things about me just to see what she said. She was pretty excited to do this. I asked her these questions about me and this is what she said, in her words:
